IGATE Inaugurates IGATE Corporate University


IGATE Corporation, the New Jersey-headquartered integrated technology and operations solutions provider, today launched the IGATE Corporate University – the Company’s sprawling training and development facility in Pune. As one of Asia’s largest corporate training Universities, the IGATE Corporate University will focus on building custom training programs and methodologies in association with leading global varsities. The University will also have the tutelage of renowned Professors collaborating with the corporate faculty to create a differentiated class of IGATORs who are best placed to address the ever-dynamic business challenges of clients.

Spread across 37 acres of land on the foothills of the picturesque Western Ghats, the facility can accommodate more than 750 trainees simultaneously with residential facilities and world-class co-curricular and extra-curricular amenities such as club house, swimming pools and food courts.

The expansive training facility in Hinjewadi Pune was inaugurated by Harry Kenyon-Slaney, chief executive Energy, Rio Tinto. Rio Tinto is a leading global mining and metals company and one of IGATE’s key clients.

Inaugurating the facility, Mr. Kenyon-Slaney said, “IGATE is our strategic partner for the state-of-the-art Rio Tinto Innovation Centre. The centre, which is also based here in Pune, is crucial to supporting the global growth and development of our Mine of the Future™ program. We look forward to seeing the IGATE Corporate University play a leading role in the development of the next generation of world-class talent and technical capabilities in India.”

The focus will essentially be on developing Leadership Quotient, Technology Quotient, and Social Quotient in the real world.”

Apart from state of the art class rooms and innovation labs, the University also has a customer experience center in the campus allowing the trainees to get a first-hand interaction with IGATE’s client fraternity. A 14-storeyed development facility, with a capacity of seating 5000 people, in the same campus, enables the trainees to get rich experience of a technical and development environment.
