NEW DELHI: Xiaomi has again sold out all of its Mi 3 devices in its fourth flash sale online on Tuesday in just a few seconds.
The Chinese handset maker made available 20,000 units of the Mi3 smartphone today.
The lot was the largest the company has offered since it began selling smartphones through Flipkart last month, but it may still not be enough for the unprecedented demand of an estimated over 100,000 people who have registered for getting a Mi 3 device.
The company had sold out 15,000 Mi3 devices online in two seconds flat on last week's flash sales, beating the record five-second flash sale last month.
With these 20,000 units, Xiaomi through Flipkart has sold 55,000 Mi 3 smartphones till date in the country.
The Flipkart site said that registrations for the phone will restart today 6 PM with sales on August 19.

In the past, the Flipkart website went down several times due to the high traffic due to flash sales. Flipkart had also crashed temporarily on July 22, minutes after Xiaomi's Mi 3 went on sale for the first time in the country.
Xiaomi Mi3 features a 5.0-inch full HD display and is powered by a 2.3GHz snapdragon processor and 2GB RAM. It runs on highly customised Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.
The price of Rs 13,999 pits Mi 3 against mid-segment devices such as the Moto G and BlackBerry's new Z3 device.
