LinkedIn entered India in late 2009 and had set up a small office in Mumbai. Since then, it has full-fledged offices in New Delhi, Mumbai and a technology centre in Bengaluru.
With a member base of over 27 million, India is currently the second largest market for LinkedIn after the US. "We have scaled-up our operations in India and continue to experience sustained growth here, both in terms of our member base as well as our business.
"The addition of one more full-fledged office in India is a reaffirmation of our long-term commitment and belief in this country," LinkedIn India Country Manager Nishant Rao said.
Rao will also be based out of this office.
